on demand car cleaning service

In general the purpose of this financial planner is to help an on-demand car wash and detailing service that brings professional cleaning directly to customers’ locations. Vans equipped with eco-friendly cleaning supplies and specialized equipment travel to homes or offices, offering tiered packages ranging from basic washes to full-scale detailing. By operating as a mobile service, the business reduces overhead costs associated with a fixed location and emphasizes convenience for busy clients, while leveraging a user-friendly scheduling platform and flexible staffing to scale across multiple regions.

Ramping Assumptions (these are configurable for each 'region')
  • Define the maximum washes a van can achieve per month.
  • Define the working days per month.
  • Utilization schedule (month 1-24 define the % of maximum capacity achieved per van) and years 3 - 10 define the % annually. This applies to each new monthly tranche of vans dynamically over their tenure.
  • Define service package pricing, % of customers that buy each type, and the model calculates the weighted average price per service.
  • Average purchase price per van and useful life (for depreciation).
  • Financing assumptions (% of purchase price of vans financed, loan term, interest rate).
  • Average detailers per van (workers), their salaries, and payroll tax/benefits if applicable.
  • Define variable costs per van per month.
  • Define variable costs per wash.
  • Define initial one-time costs to on-board a new van.
Once you have defined all the revenue and variable cost assumptions, the rest of the inputs include a fixed cost schedule for overheads, a dedicated tab for full time employee assumptions (corporate overheads), and up to two separate working capital loans if needed.

The model solves for the minimum cash required to launch the business based on all the assumptions and resulting cash flow per period and the minimum cumulative cash flow position. This minimum equity requirement flows to the cap table and the user can define how much of it is financed through outside investors and inside operators as well as the share of the business each is awarded.
